Kamla Modi on Helping Youth Be More Open about Their Mental Health


On Wednesday, March 31, Positive Coaching Alliance hosted a panel addressing mental health in sports and the increase in teen athlete suicide associated with the pandemic.

The panel, moderated by PCA’s Trennis Jones and Casey Miller, discussed the latest research findings on student-athlete mental health during COVID, specific tools, and resources to be a gatekeeper for your team or community, and insights from a current student-athlete and youth sports coach.

In this clip, Kamla Modi, Director of Learning and Evaluation at The Jed Foundation, talks about the ways the foundation helps youth feel more comfortable and open with discussing mental health issues.
